- - Visitors are required to pay the Hagia Sophia entry ticket fee in cash directly to the guide before the tour begins.(Not valid for those who have already made an online ticket payment.)
- - Guests who do not pay the ticket fee will not be allowed to join the tour.
- - Entrance tickets are not included in the tour package you purchased.
- - Children under 7 years of age can enter for free, but a valid ID or passport must be presented at the ticket counter to receive a free ticket.Please remember to bring your children’s identification documents with you.
- - Hagia Sophia is closed on Fridays between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM due to Friday prayers.
- - Skipping the security check is not possible — all visitors are subject to standard screening
- - As Hagia Sophia is an active place of worship, all visitors must follow the dress code:
WOMEN:
• Must cover their head with a scarf.
• Shoulders and knees must be covered.
• No sleeveless tops or short skirts.
MEN:
• Shoulders and knees must be covered.
• No tank tops or short shorts.
If you forget a scarf, don’t worry — you can buy one at the entrance for 1 to 3 euros.
- - Strollers and wheelchairs are not allowed on the upper gallery level.
- - Baby strollers must be carried by hand if needed.
- - The stairs to the upper gallery are steep and not recommended for guests with mobility difficulties.
- - There are no restrooms inside Hagia Sophia.
- - Tourists are not allowed to visit the first floor of Hagia Sophia. The mosque administration does not permit this.

We will meet in front of the Historic Hürrem Sultan Bath (Hammam). The bath is located right across from Hagia Sophia, in Sultanahmet Square. It is a central and easy-to-find location.
